Legislation & Expert Opinion

We specialise in safety legislation interpretation from an organisation perspective and we are across the safety legislation applicable for the majority of jurisdictions throughout the country. We offer expert opinion (Expert Witness Reports) for workplace injury damages matters and civil liability matters. Specific fields of expertise include, but are not limited to, slips, trips and falls (public and workplace), ergonomics and manual handling, vibration, safe systems of work, occupational hygiene exceedances and exposure.

Risk Management

The long-term success of an organization relies continually assessing and updating their offering and optimising their processes to take advantage of changes in consumer needs and wants. The requires a continual examination of the risks that may present themselves along the way. Our team can assist with all aspects of the risk management process based on the guidance provided by Australian Standard AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management – Guidelines. Everything from facilitating risk assessments through to risk management system design, implementation and monitoring.

Work Health Safety, Quality & Environment

Our consultants are experienced in work health and safety system design, implementation and monitoring. We can also provide advice and assistance in combining 3 (or more) separate management systems into a single Integrated Management System in line with the guidance provided in the ISO Handbook The Integrated Use of Management System Standards (IUMSS).

Policy Creation and Implementation

Our team can assist with the preparation of your safety, risk, compliance and governance policies and plans.

Auditing

Auditing is an important part of ensuring that your organisation is complying with your own internal policies and plans or with external requirements. Our team can implement internal audits, assisting your staff in conducting the specific audit or we can provide an external 3^rd party audit depending on your needs. We can adapt our audit process to suit the process that you are familiar with or you can choose to use ours.

Investigations & Reporting

We can provide both factual investigations and opinion/recommendation type investigations. We are familiar with working under legal privilege, and can mobilise within 60 minutes of being notified of an onsite incident. We have investigated a range of incidents and accidents that have occurred on a large variety of work sites. We can adapt our reports to suit your company’s report proforma if required. We are familiar with ICAM, and the various other types of investigation systems, however, our investigations are not confined to a specific investigation system.

Pedestrian Walking and Working Surfaces

We offer a variety of services associated with inspections and auditing of pedestrian walking surfaces. Slips, trips and falls are a significant contributor to both workplace and public incident and injury statistics each year. This is unfortunate as most, if not all, issues with pedestrian walking and working surfaces can be rectified easily and cheaply once identified. We are familiar with the British pendulum friction tester and can offer solutions on increasing the slip resistance surfaces that can be slippery under wet, contaminated conditions.
